How much does it cost?

 

The minimum charge is $100.00 for up to 599 words, then $0.15 / word thereafter (a digital voice recording on CD-R is also available for $.025 / word).  Due to obvious time constraints, a eulogy is $175.00 for up to 1200 words, then $0.15 / word thereafter.  Prices are subject to change without notice.

 

HOW DO I PLACE AN ORDER?

 

For a eulogy or wedding, click on the questionnaire tab at the top of the page, otherwise click on "contact me" to E-mail the details of the nature of your speech or letter, or call 289-314-4489. You will hear back from me within 24 hours of your e-mail.

 

What about revising or editing a completed draft?

 

Revisions can be requested at a pro-rated rate of $50/hr.

 

How do I Pay? Do I pay in full or make a deposit?

 

A deposit of 50% of the estimated cost is required to start your speech or letter.  All major credit cards are accepted through PayPal.  You will be E-mailed an invoice by PayPal for the deposit and a susbsequent invoice for the balance on acceptance of the speech/letter (there is no fee for the transaction).  A portable wireless POS terminal is also available for person-to-person transactions.  Money orders are also accepted.

 

Who owns the rights to the writing or speech?

 

All content (letters, speeches, and samples), is the intellectual property of When Words Fail You and may not be reproduced, published, or distributed, in whole or in part, without permission by When Words Fail You.  From time to time, When Words Fail You may reproduce any commissioned content on its website or elsewhere as samples.  You commission us to provide your content agreeing that all writing content is the intellectual property of When Words Fail You.

 

Privacy / Security

 

However, the hallmark of our service is that we care about the client - you!  Please note that when any such reproduction takes place, all names, as well as identifying content, will be replaced with aliases, etc.  Your privacy will be completey protected.

 

No client information is shared with any other agency or individual.  However, some personal information is required to process your order.  This includes your name, address, phone number, and E-mail address.  When Words Fail You will not ask you for any credit card information, all credit card info will be handled through PayPal's secure site.

How much time is required?  RUSH SERVICE?

 

Needless to say, eulogies have a very short lead time ( you should contact me as soon as possible).  A minimum lead time of 24 - 48 hrs. is appreciated.  All other projects require a minimum of 7 business days to process (larger projects may require more lead time).  Excluding eulogies, all other speeches / letters with 24 - 48 hrs. lead time, are subject to a 50% rush surcharge.  Same day service is double the regular fee.

 

Can you provide a digital voice recording of the speech?

 

Yes, for an additional fee of $.025 / word.  You may require an MP3 player.  A CD-R is the preferred method of recording;  E-mails of digital voice recordings are extremely large and take significant time to download.  E-mails of digital voice recordings are not recommended at this time.

 

What is a Creative Resume?

 

In two words or less, it is an "unconventional design".  It demonstrates to your potential employer the willingness to take risks, imagination, and a sense of humour - in other words, it sets your resume apart from all the others.

What area do you service for person-to-person meetings?

 

The Greater Toronto Area from Burlington to Cobourg, north to Newmarket. There is a round-trip mileage charge of .60/km. for me to meet with you in your home or office, or, we can meet at my home office.

 

Will I deliver a speech on the client’s behalf?

 

Yes.  The fee for this service is $100.00 not including destination mileage fees.
